Morning Fill Up with Kristi Nelson
Executive Director, Network for Grateful Living
Held August 30, 2018 at 7am at The Garage
Kristi Nelson is the executive director of Network for Grateful Living, a global nonprofit working to catalyze the transformative power of personal and societal responsibility. Located in western Massachusetts, it offers online and community-based programs and practices to inspire a commitment to grateful living.
In a conversation with Matt Ehlman of The Numad Group, Kristi will talk about why she’s committed to progressive social and spiritual change, and why living with gratitude may be more important than ever before.
The conversation will be the perfect preface to the Labor Day Weekend, and has been made possible in part thanks to an introduction from Oprah Winfrey producer and Morning Fill Up alumni Colleen Dunnegan.
In her early 30's, Kristi went through two years of surgery and treatment for Stage IV Hodgkin's Lymphoma that had metastasized to her spine. She credits that experience for shaping her current life’s purpose and passion.
She has spent virtually her entire adult life immersed in the work of nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and organizational development. In 2001, Kristi started a values-based fundraising consulting, training, and leadership coaching company, working with Institute for Jewish Spirituality, Buddhist Peace Fellowship, Spirit in Action, Wisdom 2.0, and The Center for Contemplative Mind in Society, among others. During this same period, she was also the founding director of the Soul of Money Institute with Lynne Twist, director of development at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and director of development and community relations for the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society.
Kristi received her bachelor of arts from University of Massachusetts-Amherst, a graduate certificate in business and sociology from Boston College, and a master’s in public administration from Harvard University.
