Client Story: National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC)
After Numads Matt and Ted completed a presentation to the board of directors on the impact of the fundraising and communication work our partnership with First Peoples Fund has had on the organization, board member María López de León, the president of National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC), pulled us aside and asked how we might be able to help her organization in their philanthropic efforts. A few months later, Numad was meeting with the team at NALAC for the first time, kicking off a number of new donor-focused initiatives.
Since beginning our work with NALAC in 2014, we have:
- Expanded and systematized their regular communications efforts, including redesigning their e-Boletin newsletter, offering writing and strategy support, and targeted emails to members and donors;
- Offered strategy and design support for El Aviso, their member and donor magazine;
- Completed an assessment report on the prospects and opportunities for a comprehensive donor cultivation initiative for major donors; and, most recently,
- Began walking alongside NALAC as they begin implementation of donor cultivation for individual donors.
The collaboration has been nothing short of wonderful, with a palpable energy from the staff at NALAC. While the work is still in its infancy stages, the organization has already seen increased response rates in their e-communications and donor outreach.
