Eric McDowell joined the Numad Group in 2021 with extensive background in writing, editing, and marketing and communications.
As a consultant, Eric supports strategic planning, capital campaign research and fundraising strategy development, writing and design of campaign collateral and awareness-building materials, and other projects for a wide variety of clients, including food banks, affordable housing providers, and other human services organizations.
Before transitioning into his current role, Eric was Numad's senior communications associate, working on brand development, media relations and storytelling, and strategy. He has led a range of print and digital writing projects, from feature articles, editorials, and speeches to newsletters, advertisements, and social media.
Eric holds an MFA in fiction writing from the University of Michigan, where he won the Chamberlain Award for Creative Writing. Eric taught undergraduate composition and argumentation prior to transitioning his skills to support nonprofit organizations with their communications. He lives in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood with his wife, son, and cat and serves on the board of Mandorla Music, which programs concerts, releases recordings, and partners with community organizations.
