Brendan Whipple joined The Numad Group’s Boston office as graphic designer in 2019, having worked professionally in the greater Boston area for the past five years.
After earning a bachelor’s of fine arts degree in graphic design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, he joined the Boston Children’s Hospital, gaining recognition for his clear communication of complex medical information aided by fun and informative illustrations. His comic book illustrations, which have been featured in prominent online medical journals, have been awarded a Clear Mark award of distinction from the Center for Plain Language and an Excellence in Education Award from the Association of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Nurses.
He has also volunteered on the steering committee of the New England chapter of the Human Rights campaign, assisting the nonprofit with marketing and communications.
Brendan currently resides in Salem, MA where he can be found painting, going to punk rock shows, and searching for the city’s eateries for the finest gastronomic delights with his wife, Julie.
